Company Event, Hanami and Kamakura

Hi there!

Due to the lack of recent updates, there is quite a lot of stuff to write!

First of all: Two weeks ago, we had a company event on Saturday with presentations about sales reports and company strategie. Unfortunately, it was all Japanese, so most of the time it was ... well... impossible to follow. However at one point, new employees and interns where presented to everybody and at that moment we had to stay in front of everybody and say hi. I tried to introduce myself in Japanese (that's about all I could do in that situation... ), the rest we could say in English. And afterwards there was a Newcomer Party specifically for me, Eric and three new employees of the company. :D We talked a lot to people there and had a nice time.

On the Sunday after that, me, Shu and Eric had a Hanami in Ueno Park, as mentioned by Eric in the last entry. We had a couple of snacks, drinks and tried to play Japanese chess. We were a bit late though, so it got dark pretty soon. Despite all that it was fairly lively until very late.

Another week passed and we started to get into the work flow. Eric and me managed to implement a first prototype of our Social Network Game, that we are going to present tomorrow.

The following weekend, we had a lar

ger trip with AIESEC members to Kamakura (I have a lot of problems remembering this name for some reason...). It was a very long day! We started with a lunch where we had Okonomiyaki until everybody was full. Following that we visited Tsurugaoka Hachiman-gu, a large Shinto Temple in the city. We got our fortune told there (I didn't have too much luck :( ), tried a lot of candy that was sold there... and saw a squirrel! Following that we went to Kotoku-in with its huge statue of Amida Buddah - we actually could go inside there. Finally, we went to the peach, seeing the pacific ocean (with quite some amazing waves on that day...) and finally had some donuts. It was a long day and we all were pretty beat up as a result, but it was a fun time. Thanks a lot to Yuka, Andy, Reiko and Ike who came with us and made this trip possible! (I just hope I didn't get any name wrong with time @_@)

So, another week started... and we finally start to get our Japanese lessons! :O
